Time of visit – Easter Saturday
Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Great bar food and drinks.
Price Point: £
Facilities: Basic, very clean 🙂
It seemed only right that we should visit a small corner of Ireland in Tbilisi, seeing as all of my husbands family hail from the Emerald Isle.
The bar is a small place excellently situated in the old town opposite the Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theatre. They show all sorts of sports on 2 TVs inside and apparently have an outside screen which is useful in the Summer.
It’s run by an American/Irish lady and the menu contains the right food for hanging out, drinking beer & enjoying the craic. Choose from all day breakfasts, pizzas, Mexican, burgers and tempting desserts.
We chose beef burrito, the “Enda Kenny” & the “Berlusconi” burgers. Good sized plates of food made with fresh ingredients, we were pleased. The hotdog menu made us laugh!
As in most of the restaurants in Georgia the fare is cooked from scratch. Just look at the proper chips!
There’s a good selection of spirits, wines & cocktails plus the Guinness is draught so a thumbs up there.
Ice cream sandwich and chocolate melt in the middle brownie for desserts
The decor is as you’d expect, signed shirts and punter photos adorn the walls, tongue in cheek signs and the ceiling is covered in model aeroplanes (hence the name “Hangar”)
There’s a mixture of clientele; expats, locals & tourists with a good atmosphere. The staff are friendly & stop by your table often to see if you need more drinks.
All in all a good experience, so we booked for a return visit on Easter Sunday for Roast Turkey lunch 🙂
