Afternoon Tea – London Marriot, County Hall, then Harrods!

London Marriott County Hall, Westminster.

Long post alert!…

Afternoon tea “WITH” free flowing bubbles, oh my goodness this day trip nearly got messy!

A short walk from Waterloo underground station along the Southbank, a lovely start to the day.

Time for a quick snap before we begin 🙂 I can’t possibly divulge how many shots we took before we settled with this one. Hey, its’s what we look like!

Peaceful entrance just around the corner from the crowds, straight to the bar for a cheeky cocktail, well we were early for our reservation.

Goodness, a gin bar (which we only realised after ordering rum, vodka & rhubarb based drinks) Incredible attention to detail by the bar staff.

Afternoon tea was served in The Library Lounge which had fabulous views over the Thames to Westminster. There was a vast choice of teas which was as free flowing as the fizz, also extra sandwiches and scones were offered. We loved the sweet and savoury scones, the mini quiches with the short pastry were incredible too.

See the free flowing fizz effects on Specsy Lorraine!

We still had time before our train home so we paid our respects on Westminster Bridge

then ambled over to Harrods for handbag coveting followed by cake purchasing and another glass or two of wine in the food hall cafe before heading to the station and missing the booked train home because my slight intoxication my have taken us on the wrong tube line. Ahhh well, it wasn’t too long for the next train and we got home eventually!

I almost forgot, one of our most important reports, the loos – magnificent!

Happy Day x
