- Sunday evening
- Lovely Old converted water mill
- Warm homely, rustic feel
- Extensive Menu with Specials leaflet
- Friendly staff
- Service a bit slow
Busy Sunday evening, we booked online for 8.15pm, arrived a bit early so had a drink at the bar, had to keep asking about table and were eventually seated at 8.35pm, bit of a wait.
Presented really well on slate plates and all delicious.
Deep fried Somerset Brie
Krispy Karaaga Chicken
Lebanese style beef kabobs
Main course arrived promptly but unfortunately they hadn’t cleared our starters so bit of a juggling act by servers to get main courses on table whilst clearing the other plates!
7oz Fillet Steak and Peppercorn Sauce – Tender & Cooked perfectly.
Roast Butternut Squash and Beetroot Tart – really delicious, the pastry was perfect.
Home made British Beef Burger
Bramley Apple and Blackberry Shortbread Crumble with Custard
Chocolate Brownie with Bourbon Ice Cream
I think we caught them on a bad day, there were a few very large parties/celebrations in. The food was really good but staff a bit over stretched and consequently service suffered.
