Currently No.3 on TripAdvisor in Tbilisi, Sakhli No.11 did not disappoint. We visited early on a Sunday lunchtime and although it was quiet, we felt comfortable and relaxed, with papers to read while you waited for freshly prepared and expertly cooked Georgian food.
Here’s a snapshot of the outside with traditional balcony, the inside so homely.
We chose vegetable soup, chicken salad and shoti bread served with adjika spices and oil
Then Salmon with blackberry sauce, Chicken Shkmeruli (garlic milky sauce), fried potato with onion and cheesy polenta (carb heaven!)
Unsurprisingly, we had no room for dessert, hopefully next time! Fantastic service, friendly staff who explained all the dishes clearly 🙂
The Hangar Bar, Tbilisi.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Great bar food and drinks.
Price Point: £
Facilities: Basic, very clean 🙂
It seemed only right that we should visit a small corner of Ireland in Tbilisi, seeing as all of my husbands family hail from the Emerald Isle.
The bar is a small place excellently situated in the old town opposite the Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theatre. They show all sorts of sports on 2 TVs inside and apparently have an outside screen which is useful in the Summer.
It’s run by an American/Irish lady and the menu contains the right food for hanging out, drinking beer & enjoying the craic. Choose from all day breakfasts, pizzas, Mexican, burgers and tempting desserts.
